Attacking another player who has not attacked you within the past 20 minutes will earn you a "Skull"; this is a white skull-and-crossbones icon that hovers over your head. This icon means that, if you should die while it is there, you will lose all of your equipped items; you will not keep your most valuable three as you would normally if you were not skulled.
